Bliss Carriage House

Durham Room, the Romantic Suite:  A queen-size canopy bed is the focal point for this room’s elegant appeal.  Fine luxurious linens, over stuffed down comforter and a gas log fireplace will keep you warm in the winter ad A/C to keep you cool and comfortable in the summer).  Large private bath is detailed with crisp linens, towel warmer and special bath amenities.  Signature robes are provided for your personal comfort during your stay.  In-room breakfast and/or a celebration bouquet can be pre-arranged.

Pine Tree: This is a spacious room on the second level that can comfortably accommodate up to 4 guests. It has a queen-size bed and a daybed/trundle.  The room boasts a large full bath. Two fireside chairs and cable TV create a comfortable sitting area.  A gas-log fireplace, a down comfortable, individual signature robes, and towel warmer will protect you from the winter’s chill (A/C available in summer months).

Isaac Royal Room : (Formerly the Glendon room) A first floor wheel-chair accessible bedroom with a picturesque view of the fields.  The room offers a king- size bed (which can be converted into two singles), gas log fireplace,  reading chairs, a cable TV, an antique desk and a full size "in-suite" bath.    Signature robes and chubby towels are available for your pleasure and comfort (A/C available during summer months).

Androscoggin Room:  This large first floor common room is available for guest use.  Comfortable chairs and a sofa surround a wood burning stove.  The room also has a hot/cold water dispenser.  Soft drinks are available for guests.  This room can also be reserved for group meetings or family gatherings.

Main House

Bliss Family Room: (Formerly the Burns Room) Located on the second floor of the main house, this vintage style bedroom offers the spacious comfort of a queen size bed, three-quarter in-suite bath and a delightful view of the bubbling fountain.  During the winter months, a down comforter and an electric log stove provide warmth and atmosphere.  In the summer, A/C is available.  We have heard that the room was formerly the Bliss parents’ room where all the children came to read the Sunday paper and funnies.

Emma’s Room:  Located on the second floor of the main house and named after one of the Bliss daughters.  This bright and charming room is decorated in red (Emma’s favorite color).  It has a ¾ in-suite bath, original fireplace with an electric log stove and A/C in the summer.  This is a very comfortable room with positive energy.

Freeport Room : (Formerly the Knudsen room) A four-poster bed complements this room.  This vintage style bedroom tucked in the corner of the upper level captures the sparkle of the afternoon sun.  It boasts the largest private full bathroom in the house, just steps outside the room.  An electric log stove adds the ambiance of a fireplace and A/C cools the room in the summer.  It was suggested this room belonged to the Bliss boys.

Cozy Nook:  Brickwork and exposed beams create old world charm for this loft hideaway.  It is outfitted with a full size bed and a ¾ bed, making the perfect accommodations for a small family.  Its private ¾ bath is two steps out of the room.  An electric log stove is available for the cold winter months.

The Library:  On the first floor this room contains many great treasures.  One wall contains brochures of interesting things to do and places to go in the area.  There is also a collection of menus from local restaurants.  Board games, cards and puzzles are available for a leisure time activities.  Among our collectables is a variety of books for pleasure reading, self-improvement, and knowledge building. Morning breakfast may be served in the library.

Living Room:  The living room is a comfortable room for all to use. Sit in one of the cozy chairs or sofa make plans for the day; read a book; the Sunday newspaper or just doze. In the winter, a fire in the fireplace will remove the chill along with a cup of coca or tea. Many guests have met new friends and have had some great discussions in the wonderful room.
